Rinse FM is celebrating 30 years of shaping the UK’s underground music scene. Launched in 1994 by Geeneus from a flat in Tower Hamlets, the station began as a pirate radio operation, broadcasting jungle through makeshift aerials. Over three decades, it has been central to the rise of genres like garage, grime, and dubstep, becoming a key voice for London’s evolving sounds.
Now fully legal, Rinse continues to thrive with hundreds of resident DJs, expanding to include multiple stations and a record label. Under Geeneus' leadership, it remains a crucial platform for new music and emerging talent, standing strong in the UK music landscape.
