The Dynamic Universe

The universe is a complex, ever-changing place but those changes can be fleeting or elusive, leaving fundamental questions about the nature of the cosmos and our place in it unanswered. However, by bringing together advanced mechanical and optical design, autonomous robotics, and digital communications, a new generation of astronomical instruments are allowing astronomers to explore those changes in unprecedented detail. Liverpool will explore the designs of the future, bringing the latest observations of distant astronomical phenomena into Somerset House each day.
