Duran Lantink is known for his upcycling methods and collage techniques. His principle ethos is a desire to produce clothing using innovative, sustainable and ethical practices. His projects with the homeless community in Amsterdam and sex workers in Cape Town reveal a fascination with the beauty of diversity. As a stylist, he has worked with a range of magazines, and Duran created Janelle Monae’s memorable vagina trousers for her PYNK video. His installation questions the permanent state of sale and discount in the fashion industry, exploring the phenomena of Black Friday and sales riots.
