Explorations into the wilderness

27 Feb 2017

LoneLady as part of her residency in the Rifle Range brought her experimental club night Shutters Down! from Manchester to London to celebrate urban wilderness and the repurposing of derelict space.

Rarely accessible to the public, The Deadhouse is a subterranean space beneath the Somerset House courtyard housing a number of seventeenth century gravestones from a former chapel located on the site.

The evening of urban abstractions and moving images featured DJ sets from LoneLady & John Doran of The Quietus, along with a live set from Vanishing, new avant-noise/spoken word project borne out of Islington Mill, Salford with a new album forthcoming on acclaimed experimental label Tombed Visions.
